She specialized in intellectual property and federal trademark law, and worked for several prominent law firms throughout her career.Victoria bought a house in Palm Beach County in 2015 and moved to Lake Worth Beach permanently in 2021. She left her law practice in April 2025 to run for office after years of activism, protesting, and frustration with Congress.&nbsp;

LAKE WORTH BEACH —The Palm Beach County Commission is meeting today to vote on a trademark licensing deal in relation to the renaming of Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) for Donald Trump. Palm Beach County owns and operates PBI. The forced renaming of the airport is not just about a sign on a terminal. It is about power, respect, and whether local home rule in Florida still means anything at all. Attorney, activist and congressional candidate currently running in CD-22 Victoria Doyle addressed the County Commission. Her statement, in part:“Palm Beach County residents built PBI, use it, and pay for it. Yet the Legislature in Tallahassee decided they could strip away our authority and impose a new name by state law. They did it without giving the County Commission a vote, without meaningful public hearings here at home, and without any genuine say for the people who are affected."Today&nbsp;Commissioners&nbsp;are voting whether to hand Donald Trump company control over PBI’s branding, messaging, and supply chains, including down to how Trump’s biography is presented in airport materials.“Palm Beach County residents elected these Commissioners to represent us. VICTORIA DOYLE STATEMENT ON PBI TRADEMARK VOTE  AT THE COUNTY COMMISSION

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Congressional candidate Victoria Doyle is suing Palm Beach County in an attempt to halt the process of renaming the Palm Beach International Airport after President Donald Trump.It’s the latest lawsuit within a month to challenge the renaming plan.As Doyle walked out of the county courthouse in West Palm Beach on Wednesday morning, she held up her newly filed complaint.“We did it,” said Doyle, who this year is challenging U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel in the 23rd Congressional District.Earlier this year, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a law granting the state authority to rename all seven of the state’s major airports, with a specific change proposed to turn Palm Beach International Airport into “Donald J. Trump International Airport.” The change is estimated to cost $5.5 million, for which state lawmakers have requested funding.In early May, <a href="https://cbs12.com/news/local/airport-renaming-agreement-gives-trump-oversight-of-branding-marketing-tied-to-pbia" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">county commissioners voted 4-3 to approve a naming rights and license agreement </a>to comply with the state law and create legal protections for the county.Through her lawsuit, Doyle is seeking an injunction to stop county officials from moving forward with the airport renaming until the fate of another, separate lawsuit is determined.The other lawsuit was filed in April by a pilot, George W. A full 96% of her funding comes from PACs, corporations and billionaires, including Big Sugar, Big Pharma, Big Real Estate Developers, and increasingly, AIPAC, which rewards Frankel for unconditional support of Netanyahu. By contrast, Victoria Doyle's fundraising comes from small donors who want big money out of politics. With all due respect to Palm Beach County’s seven-term incumbent congresswoman, it’s time for change.Support for congressional Democrats is sinking nationally ― from Democrats. It’s an ominous sign when our own voters are turning away from us just as we’re on the verge of winning back the House.Add to that Palm Beach County, which includes the 22nd congressional district, is perilously close to flipping red, after decades of being a safe Democratic county. Just 10 years ago in December, Democrats had a 35% voter registration advantage; last December that had fallen to 4.9%. And that’s before Gov. DeSantis’ impending mid-decade redistricting effort starts in April, carving up the state to advantage Republicans even more.To keep this district blue, we need an inspiring candidate. One who is willing to confront the affordability crisis head on, and to confront the Trump administration boldly. Rep. Lois Frankel is not that candidate. She represents a status quo that has been failing us for years.What is that status quo? Democrats who rely heavily on big donors and corporate-aligned strategists, which makes them less likely to challenge long-time institutions, Democrats who are only open to incremental reforms, but are not willing to disrupt powerful interests by enacting, for example, Medicare for All, wealth taxes, Supreme Court expansion and term limits for justices, or aggressive climate measures; and Democrats who are focused on restoring what was, instead of focusing on the reality of politics today, and transforming what can be.Lois Frankel is all of the above.First and foremost, she is deeply compromised by corporate, lobbyist, and billionaire money. In 2024, 94% of her campaign contributions came from large individual donors and PACs. Over the years, her donors have included billionaires; real estate developers; finance companies, including the Blacktone Group, the parent company of the largest private equity residential landlord in America; the pro-Israel lobby; trial lawyers; Big Sugar; and the biggest liquor distributor in the U.S., Southern Glazer’s, which is currently being sued by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission for unlawful price discrimination that hurts small businesses, competition and consumers.Also, Frankel is an incrementalist. She does not support Medicare for All, for example. She supports expanding the Affordable Care Act (ACA), even though it is no longer affordable. Our for-profit greed-fueled healthcare system is broken. It’s time for single-payer.Finally, and perhaps most damning in these times, Frankel is hopeful for the good old days, which is laughable to those of us who’ve watched Trump run roughshod over every cherished norm and institution. At an event after Charlie Kirk’s murder, she was asked about political violence and gun violence. Her rote response? “Use words, not guns.” No, Lois. We need to get serious about gun regulations that keep guns accounted for and out of the hands of dangerous individuals, not nostalgia.Change is in the air. The midterms are going to be a reckoning. Americans are fed up with Congress. Democrats are fed up with their lackluster congressional leadership, with a seniority system that encourages senior members to hold on for too long, with unaccountable campaign finance abuse, and with the majority of Americans being left behind in favor of Big Donors. Lois Frankel represents more of the same. If she is our nominee again in 2026, for an 8th time, in a district with new lines, I fear a MAGA Republican may win this district.###

VICTORIA DOYLE ON PAM BONDI'S FIRING AS ATTORNEY GENERAL

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A new lawsuit has been filed in Palm Beach County seeking to stop the renaming of Palm Beach International Airport to President Donald J. Trump International Airport.The legal challenge comes just weeks after Palm Beach County commissioners voted 4-3 to approve a trademark licensing agreement tied to the airport name change.Attorney and congressional candidate Victoria Doyle announced Wednesday that she filed a lawsuit against Palm Beach County seeking an injunction to block the implementation of the renaming.Doyle argues Palm Beach County, not the state, should have the authority to decide the name of its airport.“We should get to choose the name of our airport,” Doyle said. “We don't want President Donald J. Trump to be the name of our airport.”The county commission recently approved a licensing agreement with the Trump Organization related to the renaming. New lawsuit filed to stop the renaming of PBIA after President Donald Trump

LAKE WORTH BEACH — Today, Florida’s Legislature passed Governor DeSantis’ partisan gerrymander, redistricting Florida congressional maps. Despite a registration breakdown of 41% Democratic and 57% Republican, the new maps create representation that is 14% Democratic and 86% Republican. This redistricting is illegal and will be met with lawsuits. Activist, attorney, and CD-22 candidate Victoria Doyle issued the following statement:“Florida Republicans have made a career of ignoring the will of the voters, and the new partisan gerrymandered maps passed by the Legislature are no exception. Governor DeSantis bowed to President Trump’s demand to create more Republican congressional seats, and the result is an illegal map that eliminates four seats represented by Democrats, and skews the state’s delegation even more to the right. There are only two certainties now: lawsuits will be filed, and I will be signing on as an affected party.“Here in Palm Beach County, the current 22nd district changes somewhat, but remains represented by the incumbent, unlike other districts. Therefore, my campaign continues. I am still fighting for change, to get money out of politics, to create an economy that works for everyone, and to provide guaranteed healthcare for all. Congressional candidate Victoria Doyle is suing Palm Beach County in an attempt to halt the process of renaming the Palm Beach International Airport after President Donald Trump.It’s the latest lawsuit within a month to challenge the renaming plan.As Doyle walked out of the county courthouse in West Palm Beach on Wednesday morning, she held up her newly filed complaint.“We did it,” said Doyle, <a href="https://www.sun-sentinel.com/2026/05/07/frankel-running-for-reelection-in-reconfigured-palm-beach-county-faces-primary-challenger/">who this year is challenging</a> U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel in the 23rd Congressional District.Earlier this year, Gov. Our immigration system is broken and cruel, but it can be fixed. We must streamline the path to citizenship. Enact Comprehensive Immigration Reform

We must make Congress more accountable to the voters, and less beholden to special interests. To this end, campaign finance reform is essential, and overturning Citizens United, the egregious Supreme Court decision that reversed century-old campaign finance restrictions, and enabled corporations and other outside groups to spend unlimited money on elections, is key. We also must ban stock trading by members. And we must pass a federal ban on political and racial gerrymandering, and demand that independent redistricting commissions draw fair maps.Finally, we must eliminate the Electoral College, a slave-era relic, to elect the President by popular vote.

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — The <a href="https://www.wptv.com/news/trump/desantis-signs-bill-to-rename-palm-beach-international-airport-after-donald-j-trump" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">renaming of Palm Beach International Airport</a> in honor of President Donald Trump faces another legal hurdle.On Wednesday, a trademark attorney and District 23 congressional candidate filed a lawsuit against the Palm Beach County government to stop the renaming.Victoria Doyle filed the lawsuit in state court against the county over its approval of a Trademark License Agreement with Trump in connection with the rebranding of PBIA. New legal challenge targets Trump International Airport renaming over trademark concerns

Human rights are not political. We must reject the politicization of individual rights and the government’s wrongful insertion of itself into our private lives. We need to codify the Supreme Court’s decisions protecting individual rights, including Roe v. Wade, which guarantees access to reproductive healthcare, and the Obergefell decision, which guarantees marriage equality. We also must legislate around bad Supreme Court decisions, like Second Amendment overreaches, and implement gun safety regulations in support of our fundamental right not to be killed as a consequence of reckless gun availability.

Floridians know climate change is real and destructive, and that we must take steps to manage it. Implementing clean renewable energy is no longer an option. Palm Beach County officials narrowly approved a naming rights and license agreement as part of a state law to rename the county’s airport after President Donald Trump.County commissioners voted 4-3 to implement an agreement among Palm Beach County, Trump himself and DTTM Operations, LLC, the entity that managed Trump’s trademarks and secured the trademark for “Donald J. Trump International Airport.”Earlier this year, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill authorizing the renaming of Palm Beach International Airport to President Donald J. Trump International Airport.“The license agreement is needed to protect the county’s interests,” Chief Deputy County Administrator Patrick Rutter said at a meeting on Tuesday.These interests include ensuring compliance with state law, protecting state funding to the county and protecting against legal claims, Rutter said.“Any claims on trademark infringement, violations, rights, things of that sort, it’s addressed in the agreement,” he said.&nbsp;If commissioners had not agreed to approve the contract, they could have been penalized.“This is our seat at the table,” Commissioner Marci Woodward said. “This (renaming) would move forward either way. This maintains us as relevant in this process.”<h4>The license agreement</h4>According to the agreement, DTTM Operations still owns the airport name and associated trademarks but would grant the county a royalty-free license for airport operations, signage, marketing and branding.Other conditions in the agreement, according to county documents, include:— The county must buy airport-branded merchandise from retailers approved by Trump’s company.— Trump’s company could deny a proposed use of Trump’s name, likeness, image and biographical information used for marketing, advertising or promotion.— The license is non-exclusive, which could mean Trump and DTTM are not exclusively bound to dealings just with Palm Beach County.“When you track down what the name change does and how many touches there are along the way, it is a very, very significant endeavor. This licensing agreement is necessary to bring all that into conformance,” Rutter said at the meeting.<h4>Mixed opinions</h4>Despite the renaming being in the hands of the state, more than a dozen residents came forward during Tuesday’s meeting to speak both for and against the change.“We own the airport, but the state is forcing us to rename it to President Donald J. Trump,” said Victoria Doyle, a South Florida Democrat running for Congress. “Many states in this country prohibit naming any public place after a convicted felon or any public place after a person who’s still alive. Debbie Mayfield, R-Indialantic, first introduced the bill — which grants the state authority to name Florida’s seven major commercial service airports — she believed renaming the county’s airport after Trump was fitting due to the president’s Mar-a-Lago residency.As the bill coursed through the Legislature, Democratic lawmakers criticized the renaming, particularly the estimated $5.5 million price tag and naming the airport after Trump while he still is the sitting president.During a legislative session <a href="https://www.sun-sentinel.com/2026/02/19/florida-lawmakers-ok-renaming-palm-beach-county-airport-after-president-trump/">earlier this year</a>, Sen. Shevrin Jones, who represents a portion of Miami-Dade County, said the $5.5 million could pay for “desperately needed infrastructure” in his district.“We found that money to be able to pay for the name change on the airport, and it’s disheartening to me because when I go back home into my district, the one thing that I have to tell them is that we could not bring this money home again, but we could pay $5.5 million to change the name on the airport,” Jones said.Mayfield submitted a funding request to the state for the full $5.5 million, which could go toward signage and uniform replacement, equipment rebranding, promotional items, and systems and technology updates.During Tuesday’s county meeting, Rutter said the state has yet to adopt a budget, so whether the state will pay for the renaming has yet to be confirmed.Also still pending is a lawsuit filed by a Palm Beach County pilot challenging the renaming. George W. Poncy Jr. filed a lawsuit with the state of Florida, Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Florida Department of Transportation listed as defendants. Poncy alleged the renaming could lead to safety risks and communication issues for pilots and air traffic controllers, raise uncertainties pertaining to licensing and trademark rights, and is an overreach of power on local government.County Attorney David Ottey said during Tuesday’s meeting that the outcome of the lawsuit could “hypothetically” impact the county’s agreement.Commissioner Gregg Weiss was one of the commissioners who voted not to approved the agreement. He told the South Florida Sun Sentinel he did not believe enough information was given about what was a lengthy, complex agreement received only Monday.“I think we should have taken our time with this,” he said. “This is an important contract. … The airport belongs to the people of Palm Beach County. Whatever happens to it falls on our residents and our visitors.”
